Last weeks roundups:

Boxing

  • Jake Paul loses against Tommy Fury after 8 rounds and a unanimous decision.
  • Only one judge scored it 75-74 to Jake paul whilst the other two scored it 76-63 to Tommy.
  • Tommy Fury proved to be the more complete boxer by landing more accurate combinations.
  • Both fighters have agreed to a rematch. We will have to see if this will actually plan out.

Soccer

  • After a controversial decision to revoke a red card to Ziyech, Chelsea suffered a 2-0 loss to Tottenham away from home.
  • Despite Newcastle being the better team on the pitch, Man Utd managed to secure a 2-0 victory over them to become the Carabao Cup champions.
  • Liverpool suffered a 5-2 defeat against Real Madrid, who made a stunning comeback to clinch the victory.

Rugby

  • Ireland emerged victorious against Italy with a score of 34-20. Despite having lost all their matches so far in the Championship, Italy has proved to be a much tougher opponent this year and has shown significant improvement compared to their performance in previous Six Nations.
  • Wales lost against England 10-20. As predicted Wales failed to secure the win in Cardiff after turmoil within the dressing room.
  • France beat Scotland 32-21. After two red cards France came out on top after a thrilling match in Paris.

F1 (05/03/23)

  • F1 is back this week and begins on the Bahrain International Circuit.
  • Red Bull look like they have the fastest car after F1 testing last weekend.
  • Ferrari are likely Red Bull's closest rivals whilst Mercedes seem to have a much better car than last year.
  • Aston Martin could be the ones to watch this season.
  • Mclaren must undertake major adjustments to their car in order to remain competitive this season after experiencing significant difficulties in practice.

This week is another big week for the premier league with matches taking place both mid-week and on the weekend.

Manchester City vs Newcastle 04/03/23

  • Newcastle's defeat against Manchester United, falling short of winning their first title in 29 years, was a disappointing blow. It remains to be seen how this will affect their morale going forward.
  • This is another extremely important game for the magpies if they are to contest for top 4.
  • Their star man Bruno Guimaraes could be out after sustaining an ankle injury during the final.
  • Manchester City find themselves two points behind Arsenal but Arsenal do have a game in hand. A win this weekend could narrow the gap between the two teams.

Liverpool vs Manchester United 05/03/23

  • Liverpool face an in-form Manchester united.
  • It will be interesting to see how Liverpool set out after a mid week game against Bournemouth.
  • This is a massive game for Manchester United who could put themselves 3 points behind their arch rivals City if they win.
  • This is also another big game for Liverpool if they want to reach top 4 and play in Europe next season.
